Product information & technical details

Description
3DJake's 0.5mm Black PEI Steel Plate is a flexible build plate for FDM printers. The Black PEI consists of a magnetic base with 3M adhesive backing and a flexible spring steel plate. The high-quality steel plate ensures excellent adhesion and easy removal of the printed parts. After the printing process, the plate can be detached from the magnetic base and the model can be removed from the plate by carefully bending it. The plate does not buckle but returns to its original shape.
Unlike other PEI print surfaces, the Black PEI steel plate features a finer double-sided surface coating that has less residue sticking to it. This also ensures a longer service life!
Note: The magnetic base of the flexible steel plate is temperature-resistant up to a maximum of 100 °C!

This print bed is incredible! When heated to the right temperature for the filament, it holds the print in place firmly (provided you've cleaned it and gotten rid of oils from your fingers), but when it's cooled down completely, the print automagically detaches and you can take it off with 0 effort. After about 100 prints in PLA and PETG I haven't had a single one warp or detach from the build plate, and it still looks brand new! However if it does get scratched or damaged, you can simply flip it over because it's actually double sided.
There is one thing I dislike about this build plate, and that is the texture. The bumps are high and wide enough to actually mess with the accuracy of my CR touch, so i had to double check if everything worked correctly with bed level patterns.
This build plate is an absolute must have for any printer. Because of this build plate I have a lot more trust in my printer. Before I had it, I always checked any print as often as I could, just to see if it had messed up. Now I run 4 hour prints and don't even glance at the progress, I just know they'll finish correctly. Get it!
