Product information & technical details
Description
The BondTech BMG extruder uses an internal ratio of 3: 1.
Together with the CNC-machined steel drive gears, the extruder is a compact powerhouse.
Whether high-resolution prints with small nozzles or high-flow prints with large nozzles. The optimised gear ratio provides unprecedented thrust and lightning-fast retraction.
BondTech Dual Drive
The dual-drive technology ensures an uninterrupted flow of material.
Multi-Material
The BMG extruder conveys all materials with high reliability. From nylon and TPU / TPE filaments to highly rigid and brittle materials. The extruder is designed for 1.75 mm filament but has been tested with large diameter deviations to allow high reliability.
Adjustable tension
The thumbscrew allows the user to finely adjust the tension exerted by the drive wheels on the filament.
Quick release
The filament can be changed quickly using the quick-release lever.
Multi-application design
The BMG extruder can be constructed as Bowden or direct extruder. It also has a device to mount Groovemount hot-ends like the E3D-V6.
Recommended settings:
- E-Steps settings: 415 steps / mm (can vary from printer to printer)
The extruder can use any Nema17 motor with a 5mm shaft. The BMG extruder is delivered without motor and without feeder adapter!
Weight without motor: 75g

So happy I ditched the Titan Clone that came with my printer.....
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
As the title says really....
I cannot fault the BMG at all. I've had perfect prints right from the off once I'd calibrated it correctly after installation. Was this rating helpful? (0) (0)

there is no doubt that the Bondtech QR is the ultimate extruder (but expensive) The BMG is its smaller brother and as good for most people.

Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
I haven't been 3D printing long and I was getting fed up with the cloned Titan that came on my printer. After careful thought and plenty of Googling I decided to purchase a genuine BMG. I also decided to get the left hand version so that my stepper motor would be on the outside edge of my machine. So far I haven't had a problem with any of my prints as the BMG applies equal pressure to both sides of the filament to feed it through.....just make sure you calibrate it properly first.
