Description
From Bondtech and Slice Engineering
This LGX ACE Magnum+ is a dedicated short filament path hotend co-developed by Bondtech and Slice Engineering.
It features Slice's Mosquito Magnum+ bi-metal heatbreak technology and an industrial-grade copper heater block for improved thermal performance and melt flow capacity. In combination with the matching LGX extruder, an industrial-quality print head is created that can excellently print all common materials and especially soft and flexible filaments.
⇒ Attention!
- The 1.75 mm hotend can be used with the LGX eXtruder or in combination with the 1.75 mm version of the LGX Pro eXtruder.
- The 2.85 mm hotend can be used in combination with the 2.85 mm variant of the LGX Pro eXtruder.

Designed to provide more flow
During the long months of intensive testing leading up to the launch of the LGX CHT nozzles, Bondtech discovered that shortening the post-drive filament path results in increased volumetric flow capacity. Similar to the LGX ACE Mosquito, the LGX ACE Magnum+ delivers a significant increase compared to the full Mosquito Magnum+ hotend.
Improved cooling performance
The LGX ACE Magnum+ Hotend features a monolithic air-cooled cooling block and heatsink, designed and manufactured by Bondtech, which connects to the LGX extruder via its interface connector, located at the front of the extruder. The heatsink contains the hole pattern for attaching 40×40 fans.
Tip: A 4010 fan is enough to cool the cooling block and cold zone of the heatbreak because the cooling block and heatsink are monolithic, which increases heat transfer and dissipation.
Compatible nozzles
The heater block included in this product is compatible with the RepRap nozzle standard. Here is a list of compatible versions:
- Bondtech brass nozzle
- Bondtech nozzle made of coated brass
- CHT nozzle made of coated brass
- Slice engineering copper nozzle
- Slice Engineering Vanadium Steel Nozzle (for abrasive filaments)
The LGX ACE Mosquito Hotend is not compatible with the following items:
- 3DSolex Matchless 1.75mm nozzles
