DIAMANT Polymer dichtol AM, 1.000 ml

dichtol AM is a very thin, high-performance polymer which can be used in the following applications:

• infiltration of 3D printed parts, in additive and generative manufacturing;
• impregnation of metals, castings and parts;
• sealing thermally sprayed layers (APS, HVOF, LDS, flame spray).

The material has a high capillary activity and penetrates deep into porous cracks and surfaces and seals them permanently. In the process, it hardens at room temperature without needing additional heat, vacuum or pressure. Pores and cracks filled in this way show good chemical resistance to oils, lubricants and coolants and are temperature-resistant up to 300°C.

Preparation and application:

Before application, the pores to be sealed must be thoroughly cleaned of dirt residues and other undesirable particles.

There are a few applications of dichtol AM:

► Targeted application:

there's no wastage of the product

► Brushing and spraying:

apply four times crosswise at 1-minute intervals and keep moist for at least 5 minutes to allow the product to penetrate the pores deeply

► Inject and fill:

Inject dichtol AM into the desired porous space and allow it to act for about 5 minutes; then pour out the excess material;

► Dipping:

Dip the object to be sealed in dichtol AM and remove after approx. 5 minutes; drain the object thoroughly.

At room tempearture (+20 °C), dichtol AM hardens completely after a certain amount of time. The caring process is accelerated at some temperatures (+40°C).

Storage: Store unopened in a cool and dry place (+5 °C to +30 °C).

Shelf life: 5 years.
