Description
Green-TEC PRO Carbon combines the biodegradable filament GreenTEC Pro with the strength of technical carbon composites and is characterised by its low weight, high-temperature resistance and high rigidity.
Because GreenTEC Pro Carbon is fibre reinforced, it offers exceptional mechanical properties and creates very hard and stiff models that can withstand high loads.
The fibre content also improves the heat resistance (VICAT) and the HDT value of the material under load.
Models printed with Green-TEC PRO Carbon have a very nice matt surface with small, visible carbon fibres.
Key features of Green-TEC PRO Carbon
- Fibre-reinforced BIO material
- Exceptional mechanical properties
- High thermal resilience up to 165 °C
- Comparable UV stability such as ASA
- Suitable for lightweight construction
- Very nice matt finish
- Good layer adhesion
Note: Carbon is very abrasive. A hardened nozzle is therefore recommended for printing.

I have seen users complaining about the LOW temperature when this filament softens arount 70 celsius. Extrudr did not say a word about it.

do you know what kind of plastic is used? PETG? PLA?

Surface quality is nuts...
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
I used this with a 0.6mm Nozzle X at 0.2mm layer height, and I can honestly say that this is the first filament that I have used that I can't see the individual layers... The Matt surface finish of the material is wonderful. Printing on the satin sheet of my MK3S I had no issues what so ever with warping, even on quite large parts, the bed adhesion was great.
This material is really stiff and thus quite brittle, however depending on your application, this likely wont be an issue.
I actually think it is quite a good value too.
final thoughts; if you're looking for a PLA Upgrade for a project where stiffness is key, just do it.Was this rating helpful? (0) (0)

Ease of use + stiffness
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
I don't like regular greentec but this blend is amazing. Very easy to print, no warping, minimal stringing , impressive surface quality and top notch stiffness.
Note, there is very little flex and it is relatively easy to snap (no predictable bend, just snaps). But if you want something that withstands high-ish temperatures, is stiff and easy to print, try it. Watch out the layer orientation if you are aiming at ultra-stiffness.
(my) Print settings: minimal retraction (0.5mm@40mm/s with e3d v6 w/ titan extruder) plus coasting/wiping, watch out the priming of the nozzle after retracts. If you see blobs, reduce priming distance ! (in s3d: extra retract distance= -0,4).
Bed: PEI @ 60C (or less) is enough, 210C for 60mm/s (more to increase layer bonding, less to decrease stringing a little more). Fan enabled (printing with blower-type at 60%).
Prints fine with 0.4mm nozzle, I had no issues.
You can use very little infil because this filament is very stiff, even two perimeters behave like 5-6 on PLA. 1st layer above infil is also excellent, similar to PLA, you don't need a lot of top layers. Was this rating helpful? (29) (0)

It's great actually
Rated with 4 out of 5 stars.
The only downside I have is that even at 80C you can bend parts with ease. So working temp of 80C is a myth . Otherwise - it's a great filament.

Extrudr Green-TEC PRO Carbon
Rated with 4 out of 5 stars.
Very good product however I couldn't give it 5 stars as it is extremely difficult to stick to the bed.

Carbon filament has a bit more adhesion to it than regular filament because of the tiny fibres that grab on to surfaces. Reducing the bed temp or increasing your z-offset will help. if you're having great difficulty removing it from the buildplate you can put into a freezer for an hour - this contracts the filament and makes it easier to remove.
