Are you looking for an exciting 3D printing project and want to put your manual skills to the test? Then the Voron 2.4 3D printer kit is just right for you!
The kit contains many high-quality parts, the rest is up to you. Print the missing parts and create your own FDM printer.
This kit is ideal for advanced hobbyists who already have a 3D printer at home and want to delve deeper into the various components. It is recommended to use ABS filament to print the required parts.
Here you can see which parts of your printer you have to print yourself.
About the Voron 2.4
The Voron 2.4 is a well designed open source CoreXY 3D printer known for its reliability, stunning looks and high performance.
With 4 independently controlled Z motors, it is possible, for example, to align the gantry parallel to the printing platform before printing.
The LDO Voron 2.4 kit is available in 2 variants, which only differ in the size of the build space:
- Voron 2.4 300 kit →300x300x300mm
- Voron 2.4 350 kit → 350x350x350mm

► Important note: The LDO kit does not contain a hotend or Raspberry Pi. These components must be purchased separately
► Important note: The components included in the set are designed for use with the Stealthburner printhead. You will also find corresponding designs for your desired hotend in the STL collection. More detailed information on using the Stealthburner printhead can be found here. Under the following links you will find the assembly instructions, firmware, STL files for the mounts of the compatible hotends and much more for the printhead you have selected:
Stable performance
All Voron printers are built with CoreXY or CoreXZ configurations to reduce the amount of mass to be moved and allow for greater acceleration and speed.
Download Fusion 360 and get a free license to view the 3D model of the printer. The 3D model is a very useful reference when the manual is ambiguous or unclear.
Once you have finished building your Voron 3D printer, you will receive a serial number here.

Features of the Voron 2.4 Kit by LDO
Coloured aluminium extrusion profiles
You can choose the colour of the aluminium extrusion profiles yourself when you buy them. Several colour variants are available.
Genuine Bondtech Dual Drive Gear Kit
The Bondtech Dual-Drive Gear Kit made of hardened and surface-protected steel has been precisely CNC-milled and ensures maximum filament grip and even extrusion. It is extremely wear-resistant and is therefore ideal for processing abrasive filaments.
Nevermore filters
In the kit, you will find the optional Nevermore Micro V5 internal circulation filter (charcoal pellets not included due to shipping restrictions).
BIGTREETECH Octopus V1.1 motherboard
The Octopus V1.1 mainboard from BIGTREETECH has numerous interfaces and ensures good performance.
Stainless steel linear rails
The stainless steel linear rails do not rust and impress with their durability. If you want to grease the rails you can do that at the end of your build.
Tool head PCB
The kit includes a modified Hartk tool head PCB. A tool head breakout PCB has also been designed to make wiring on the controller side simple and straightforward.
Brass threaded insert application tool
A specially machined brass tip is included for your soldering iron, allowing you to easily install heatset tips. Learn more about the Heatset Insert Tool here.
Pre-cut and pre-wired cables
The kit includes all the cables required, cut to the correct length and pre-crimped or soldered to the appropriate parts. You can find the supplementary wiring instructions here.
Two types of nuts
Both Black Oxide Hex Nuts and Stainless Steel Square Nuts are included in the kit, use whichever type you prefer.
Input shaper tool
The toolkit contains all the necessary parts to help you easily perform Input Shaper calibration.
Several Allen keys
Since 1.5mm Allen keys wear out easily, you will find several of them in the kit. However, you should definitely buy a set of good quality hex wrenches.
2 mm bits
Metric bits may not be very common in some parts of the world so one has been included with the kit. Use it to ream the filament path in your printed extruder parts.

It's a lottery
Rated with 1 out of 5 stars.
This could have been perfect but the kits are a lottery with some key components appearing to be reconditioned and very badly packaged. The pre-cut and terminated wiring is a significant highlight but these can be bought separately. There are some quality components such as Bondtech gears and the cable guides but pretty much everything else is sub par. The aluminium extrusions are under tolerance in many places making it impossible to insert T-Nuts without pre-loading them or risk damaging the extrusion. The sliders and rails came in poorly sealed bags with no protective shipping oil. They were bone dry and covered in tarnished spots that looked like fingerprints. The same with the motors that look like some of the casings had been replaced. The grub screws are such soft metal that the socket easily strips. The excessive amount of threadlock didn't help. My kit was also missing a set of screws with no spares (no offer to replace them so I bought my own) but for everything else there are a ridiculous number of spares, which have contributed to the high price. There are a lot of excess parts that were obviously intended to provide more options at some point but the lack of a single part meant that there is ultimately only one option, e.g. the Raspberry Pi power options. The upgrade kits have a lot of spare parts and it isn't clear which version of upgrade they were intended for, e.g. Klippy. The build plate has a large scuff where the protective film was damaged. There have been just so many things that have made the experience far worse than it should have been but the worst part is the lack of assurance regarding the most crucial parts of the kit, which ironically are the parts that were manufactured by LDO themselves. They really are poor but I expect that they will argue that the "kit" status excludes them from honouring any warranty in the event of any failure because there are absolutely no warranty certificates for anything in the kit.

Nice cable kit, but very cheap hardware and linear rails
Rated with 3 out of 5 stars.
It is hard for me to decide if i'm happy or not with the LDO kit.
I had so many problems, i can't really remember all of them. But mainly the hardware. Especially for the price.
The LED bars are also removing 2-3cm of print Z height size.
The kit description should be modified , the print volume is X350xY350xY300
At last for 1600€, the fans provided are good for airflow but very noisy. I'd highly suggest upgrading to a DELTA right away. Still finding a solution for the 5 other fans...
Other than this... Great kit, the printer config file is almost ready to use.
