Print bed
PolyMide ™ PA6-CF can be printed on almost any surface with a thin layer of PVA adhesive or Magigoo PA. We recommend a flexplate to facilitate removal of the model from the plate.
Nozzle
PolyMide ™ PA6-CF contains 20% chopped carbon fibres, which makes it very abrasive. It is important to use an abrasion resistant nozzle.
PolyMide ™ PA6-CF can easily damage a brass nozzle after a few hundred grams of printing. Hardened nozzles are more expensive than conventional brass nozzles. Therefore, it is important to consider the amount of materials to use.
Hot-End
Polymaker recommends a full-metal hot-end that maintains a stable temperature of at least 280 ° C.
Annealing the components
Polymaker recommends that all models made with PolyMide ™ PA6-CF be post-cured. This allows the user to utilize the full mechanical and thermal properties of this material. During annealing, the model is placed in an oven at 90 ° C for 2 hours.
