Properties of 3DJake ecoPLA
3DJake ecoPLA is an affordable & high quality alternative for frequent printers, which is characterised by its excellent properties and ease of processing.
- Tougher & less brittle than conventional PLA filament
- Good diameter and roundness tolerances
- No unpleasant smells
- Minimal shrinkage
- Minimal warping
3DJake ecoPLA filament can be used with almost all FDM 3D printers.
Due to the lack of a spool, the production is more cost-intensive, which means that the refill filaments currently still have a higher basic price.

Hard work
Rated with 2 out of 5 stars.
There are two things to mention about this refill.
1. It prints beautifully. It’s stunning. Absolutely perfect.
2. It’s rolled worse than bowl of day old spaghetti. I used the refillable spool and followed the instructions. (They’re not hard) But it snagged as soon as I started printing with it. I had to unroll the whole thing onto another spare roll.
So… if you don’t mind the manual labour of re spooling a whole roll, then the prints and price are worth it.
