Description
The Flax filament by Extrudr is a new development in a series of bio-compounds.
The filament is produced using 100% renewable raw materials.
The material is biodegradable unlike PLA filament, that is only degradable under certain laboratory conditions.
Therefore, the Extrudr Flax is CO2 neutral and ecologically harmless.
The new bio-compound filaments are a non-toxic alternative to conventional filaments.
Application:
The Flax filament has a unique surface with a pearly silver appearance.
The filament shows unique reflections when placed in the sun and can be used for special designs.
The biopolymer by Extrudr meets all EU regulations for food safety.
Advantages:
- Good printing properties
- Composed from renewable and sustainable raw materials
- Better shrinking and warping than PLA
Additional Information
No heated building board is needed for the Extrudr Flax.
The filament sample (about 50g) is packed in a sealable foil and protects the filament.
